Working together to achieve more
At Wallace Hall Academy our S3 pupils were fortunate enough to go out on work placements during our school moving week. We managed to achieve a wide variety of placements for the pupils, ranging from Countryside Rangers to Beauty Therapists and many more.
The placements enabled the pupils to work within the wider community and gave them a taste of employment and its requirements, including punctuality, dress code and interaction with the general public. Of course, most importantly, it was a learning process for everyone involved. All of our pupils who took part represented the school well during the placement week and by all accounts were a credit to WHA.
During the placement week some of our staff visited a number of the placement sites and they received many glowing reports from the employers who participated. We would like to congratulate our S3 pupils on their very successful placement week.
